You Have To Give A Care

I watched a stand up show the other night.

It was the latest offering on Netflix from Ricky Gervais.

During the show he commented on the likelihood of humanity destroying itself in one of many ways.

It disturbed me because it was delivered in a matter of fact way.

Like it's inevitable and almost preferable.

And that kind of attitude is gaining traction.

It's as if we have given up, accepted our inability to affect change, and are just plodding on to oblivion.

He went on to say the planet would be better off without us.

But that’s not really our decision to make is it?

I don’t know who’s decision it is.

But we are lucky to have evolved to a state of self governance, in the dominant position on a planet sustaining millions of species of life.

What more do we want?

Obviously we have issues…

And, some of the actions we take against each other and the planet are unbearable to think about.

But we can’t give up.

I have also heard people comment that the way to deal with atrocities that they cannot change is not to think about them.

And I can sympathise with this.

The daily news headlines are enough to make you weep for a lifetime.

But there is always something you can do.

Always.

Several years ago I came across Noetic Science.

It explores how consciousness influences the physical world.

We already know that thought, as well as action, produces energy.

That’s long since been proven.

And we all know positive energy and negative energy are infectious.

If thought generates energy, and that energy interacts with the world around us, isn't it our duty to care for the plight of all?

Shouldn't we all give a care?

I am not going to talk about prayer. That is a personal issue related to belief systems.

But isn't praying merely wishing something good for someone anyway?

If we decide not to think about issues beyond our control we may consider that action neutral.

But what if you are making it worse by trying to block out the issue?

Even if it’s only by an infinitesimal amount.

Last week I discussed the impact of an accumulation of thought on an individual.

Imagine the impact of a collection of people who have lost faith in our future.

Perhaps the Universe needs us to give a care, about our planet and ourselves.

In which case, there is much that you can do, with every thought.

“Share the pain as well as the joy, and use your positivity to good effect. There is always hope.

Focus on the light, always,
